Growing Beyond Spiritual Infancy
As we journey through 2026—The Year of Multiplication, Hosanna Mission Church is reminded that God does not merely desire larger numbers; He desires mature disciples. Biblical multiplication is never about attendance alone—it is about transformation. God’s pattern has always been to mature believers who, in turn, disciple others.
Our focus for July 2026 is “A Mature Christian Life” (A Picing Christian Nuntakna). This theme calls every believer to move beyond spiritual infancy and pursue continual growth in Christ. The writer of Hebrews challenged believers who had been Christians long enough to become teachers, yet they still depended on the “milk” of elementary truths instead of the “solid food” that produces discernment and maturity (Hebrews 5:12–14).
The message remains just as relevant today. God is calling His Church to grow—not only in knowledge but also in character, holiness, wisdom, and faithful service.
God’s Desire Is Spiritual Maturity
From Genesis to Revelation, God’s purpose has always been to form a people who reflect His character. Salvation is the beginning of the Christian journey, not its destination. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, believers are continually transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ.
The Apostle Paul expressed this passion clearly:
“Until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.”

God never intended His children to remain spiritual infants. Every believer is called to grow in understanding, obedience, faith, and Christlike character.
Multiplication Begins with Maturity
Our church theme for 2026—The Year of Multiplication reminds us that genuine multiplication begins with mature disciples.
Jesus did not simply gather crowds; He intentionally developed disciples who would carry His mission to the nations. Before commanding His followers to make disciples, He first spent years teaching, correcting, equipping, and empowering them.
Likewise, the early Church multiplied because believers were continually growing in faith.
“So the word of God kept spreading; and the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly…”

Again,
“But the word of God continued to grow and to be multiplied.”
— Acts 12:24 (NASB95)
The multiplication recorded in Acts was not merely numerical growth. It was the multiplication of faithful disciples, Spirit-filled leaders, healthy churches, and Gospel witness.
As Hosanna Mission Church prays and labors for 20 million lost souls to come to saving faith in Jesus Christ, we recognize that lasting multiplication requires mature believers who faithfully proclaim the Gospel, disciple others, and depend upon the Holy Spirit. This mission reflects HMC’s vision and Statement of Faith regarding discipleship, evangelism, Spirit-empowered ministry, and the Church’s responsibility to proclaim Christ to the world.
Marks of a Mature Christian
Spiritual maturity is measured not by age, titles, or years in church, but by increasing conformity to Jesus Christ.
A mature Christian:
- Loves God’s Word and applies it daily.
- Walks in obedience rather than convenience.
- Depends upon the Holy Spirit.
- Demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit.
- Exercises biblical discernment.
- Lives a holy life.
- Serves others with humility.
- Perseveres through trials with faith.
- Shares the Gospel with boldness.
- Helps others grow in Christ.
Hebrews tells us that mature believers have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil through constant practice. Spiritual discernment develops through continual obedience, not merely through acquiring knowledge.
Growing Through God’s Word
Spiritual maturity begins with Scripture.
God’s Word nourishes, corrects, equips, and transforms His people.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness, so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work.”

Reading the Bible is not merely an intellectual exercise—it is a daily encounter with the living God. As believers meditate on His Word, the Holy Spirit renews the mind and shapes the heart.
Walking in the Holy Spirit
Hosanna Mission Church believes that spiritual maturity cannot be achieved through human effort alone. True growth comes through the work of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers for holy living, service, worship, witness, and spiritual discernment. This conviction is central to HMC’s Pentecostal identity and Statement of Faith.
Paul reminds us:
“Walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.”

The Holy Spirit produces His fruit in every surrendered believer:
- Love
- Joy
- Peace
- Patience
- Kindness
- Goodness
- Faithfulness
- Gentleness
- Self-control
These qualities are evidence of genuine spiritual growth.
Developing Spiritual Discernment
In an age filled with competing voices, spiritual maturity includes learning to distinguish truth from error.
Believers must evaluate every teaching, opinion, and experience through the authority of God’s Word.
Scripture exhorts us:
“But examine everything carefully; hold firmly to that which is good.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (NASB95)
A mature believer is not easily deceived because God’s truth shapes every decision.
Living a Life That Multiplies
The goal of maturity is never personal achievement. Mature believers reproduce mature believers.
Paul instructed Timothy:
“The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful people who will be able to teach others also.”

This is biblical multiplication.
One disciple faithfully invests in another, who then invests in others, creating a multiplying movement that advances the Kingdom of God across generations and nations.
Practical Commitments for July
During this month, we encourage every member of Hosanna Mission Church to commit to intentional spiritual growth by:
- Reading the Bible every day.
- Spending dedicated time in prayer.
- Attending worship services faithfully.
- Memorizing Scripture.
- Participating in Bible study or discipleship groups.
- Serving in a ministry.
- Sharing the Gospel with someone.
- Encouraging another believer.
- Seeking the filling of the Holy Spirit daily.
- Intentionally discipling at least one person.
Small, faithful acts of obedience produce lasting spiritual maturity.
Our Prayer
As we embrace July’s focus on “A Mature Christian Life,” may God strengthen every believer to grow deeper in His Word, walk more closely with the Holy Spirit, exercise biblical discernment, and faithfully make disciples.
May this month become a season of spiritual transformation—not only for individuals but also for families, ministries, and our entire church.
As mature disciples multiply mature disciples, we pray that God will continue to fulfill His vision through Hosanna Mission Church: reaching the lost, strengthening believers, planting churches, and advancing His Kingdom among the nations.

2026 is The Year of Multiplication.
This July, we commit ourselves to becoming mature followers of Jesus Christ—rooted in God’s Word, empowered by the Holy Spirit, growing in holiness, serving with humility, and making faithful disciples.
We believe that true multiplication begins with transformed lives. As each believer matures in Christ, families are strengthened, leaders are raised, churches are established, and the Gospel reaches new communities.
May the Lord make us a church that not only grows in number but also grows in depth, wisdom, love, and Christlike character.
